Jordan Kutzik (Publisher): The former deputy editor of the Yiddish Forward and current chairman of Yugntruf Youth for Yiddish, Mr. Kutzik has long wished to reacquaint Yiddish readers with the masterworks of Yiddish children’s literature. He first became interested in Yiddish children’s literature while digitizing audio recordings of Kadya Molodowsky reading her children’s poetry while he was a fellow at the Yiddish Book Center. Mr. Kutzik is also a literary translator whose work has appeared in Hayden’s Ferry Review, the Forward, and an anthology of Yiddish fiction from W. W. Norton and Company. He is currently translating a collection of short fiction by Boris Sandler.
Eliezer Niborski (Yiddish Editor): A renowned Yiddish-language instructor and Yiddish bibliographer, Mr. Niborski lives in Jerusalem where he is the editor of Hebrew University’s Index to Yiddish Periodicals. Mr. Niborski has a skilled eye for editing Yiddish texts, having worked on dozens of scholarly projects and literary publications. He is excited to be helping Kinder-Loshn produce new editions of classic works enjoyed by his own four Yiddish-speaking children.
Judith Bro Pinhasik (Development Director): Ms. Pinhasik has been Yugntruf’s Development Director for twelve of her twenty-four years working in management, marketing, and fundraising for non-profit health, educational, environmental, and arts and cultural organizations. She earned a Certificate in Fundraising Management from New York University. For the past twelve years, she has taught Yiddish language and Jewish culture, history, and ethics to children at the Workmen’s Circle’s Midtown Shule (NYC). She has also served as Camp Kinder Ring’s Assistant Jewish Culture Director and Song Leader for the last four summers.
